NASA 2009 Week One

The first week of many has started, follow the students through to the selection results in June.

This Thursday saw the first stage of the formal stage for selecting students to travel to Johnson and Kennedy Space Centres in the autumn term. The students have been working long and hard at raising funds over the past 6 months and have raised an incredible total of £3000 so far. Thanks to the generosity of THE UK TRADE AND INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT, another student will also be travelling with the group.

It is hoped that 7 students will travel from a group of 16 hopefuls, the selection involves presentations, interviews, intelligence tests and many other things, all designed to build key skills in the hopeful Space Cadets.

The first evening was spent doing some basic exercises in team building as well as some really challenging evolutions like space hopper racing !
